چکیده
Summary Modern power networks are enormously complex and frequently interconnected by weak tie‐lines, which results in a variety of stability issues such as low frequency oscillations (LFOs). LFOs can have negative impact on system tie‐line transmission capacity, resulting catastrophic blackouts if suitable damping control mechanisms not situ. This article demonstrates robust design for inter‐area LFO an system. A new comprehensive approach is presented, integrates the thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) to improve critical modes. An intelligently designed fuzzy logic (FLC) employing global stabilizing feedback signal constitutes supervisory controller. The obtained based observability modes using participation factor (PF) analysis. Moreover, maiden application recently proposed optimization algorithm, K‐means optimizer (KO), employed simultaneously tune parameters FLC coordinated operation SMES TCSC. To validate robustness scheme, several case studies performed Kundur's two‐area multi‐machine test comparison with residue‐based controller was also done demonstrate superior efficacy KOFLC

Coordinated Control of Doubley Fed Induction Generator Virtual Inertia and Power System Oscillation Damping Using Fuzzy Logic
Doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbines with traditional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control provide no inertia response under system frequency events. Recently, the DFIG wind turbines have been equipped with virtual inertia controller (VIC) for supporting power system frequency stability. However, the conventional VICs with fixed gain have negative effects on inter-ar...

Series compensators have been used for many years, to increase the stability and load ability of transmission line. They compensate retarded or advanced volt drop of transmission lines by placing advanced or retarded voltage in series with them to compensate the effective reactance, which cause to increase load ability of transmission lines. In this paper, two method of fuzzy controller, based ...
